Baykar to Debut K2, MIZRAK and Sivrisinek at SAHA EXPO 2026

Baykar will showcase its latest unmanned platforms, smart munitions and vertically integrated defense technologies at SAHA EXPO 2026, where the company is set to unveil three new systems for the first time: the K2 Kamikaze UAV, the MIZRAK Intelligent Loitering Munition and the Sivrisinek loitering munition.

SAHA EXPO 2026, one of the largest defense, aerospace and space industry exhibitions in the region, is being held at the Istanbul Expo Center between May 5 and 9. The event brings together more than 1,700 companies, including 263 international firms, and over 30,000 industry professionals from more than 120 countries.

Baykar, Türkiye’s leading unmanned systems manufacturer, will take part in the exhibition with a broad product lineup covering unmanned combat aircraft, UCAVs, kamikaze UAVs, loitering munitions, smart cruise missiles, electro-optical payloads, laser designators and mapping systems.

K2, MIZRAK and Sivrisinek to Make Their First Appearance

The main highlight of Baykar’s SAHA EXPO 2026 display will be the debut of three new-generation strike systems developed for the changing requirements of modern warfare.

The K2 Kamikaze UAV is designed as an expendable strike platform combining high-precision engagement capability with a lower-cost architecture. According to Baykar’s announcement, K2 and Sivrisinek recently demonstrated AI-supported swarm autonomy, GNSS-independent navigation, automatic target detection and strike capabilities during tests at Baykar’s Keşan Flight Training and Test Center.

The MIZRAK Intelligent Loitering Munition stands out as a long-range deep-strike system. Baykar states that MIZRAK has an operational range exceeding 1,000 kilometers, endurance of more than 7 hours, a 40 kg payload capacity, a 4-meter wingspan and a maximum takeoff weight of 200 kg. The system can take off conventionally from a runway or use a Rocket-Assisted Take-Off option for operations from challenging terrain.

MIZRAK also features AI-assisted autopilot, optical guidance and visual positioning capabilities. This allows the system to conduct missions in GPS-denied environments and operate under intense electronic warfare conditions. Baykar says the munition can communicate with Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3 and Bayraktar AKINCI through its digital data and video link, while optional satellite communication support can further expand its mission network.

The Sivrisinek loitering munition is positioned as a flexible tactical solution that combines reconnaissance and strike missions in a single platform. Together with K2 and MIZRAK, Sivrisinek reflects Baykar’s increasing focus on AI-supported autonomous strike systems and network-centric battlefield concepts.

KIZILELMA, AKINCI, TB3 and TB2 Also on Display

Baykar will also display its flagship unmanned platforms at the exhibition.

Inside the Istanbul Expo Center, the company will showcase Bayraktar KIZILELMA, Türkiye’s first unmanned combat aircraft, together with a wide range of domestically developed munitions.

In the outdoor exhibition area, Baykar will present the combat-proven Bayraktar TB2, the carrier-capable Bayraktar TB3, and the high-altitude long-endurance Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV.

Bayraktar TB3 is especially important because it was developed for short-runway naval operations and is designed to operate from platforms such as short-deck aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. Baykar will also exhibit its AI-based mini smart cruise missiles, KEMANKEŞ 1 and KEMANKEŞ 2, as part of its expanding smart munition ecosystem.

Baykar Expands Its Sensor and Payload Ecosystem

Baykar’s SAHA EXPO 2026 presence will not be limited to air platforms and munitions.

The company will also showcase electro-optical and mapping technologies developed under its vertical integration strategy. These include BG125, BG135, BG160 and BG180 gimbal camera systems, BLD-series laser designators, and Bayraktar Fast Mapping Pods designed to generate high-resolution data.

This part of the exhibition is strategically important because Baykar is increasingly developing not only unmanned platforms, but also the sensors, payloads, communication systems and software architecture that support them.

Global Baykar Ecosystem

Baykar will also highlight its growing international ecosystem at SAHA EXPO 2026.

According to the supplied company material, Bayraktar Technology Azerbaijan will present its activities at the Baykar stand. Large-scale models of the P.180 Avanti EVO and MPA maritime patrol aircraft from Italian company Piaggio Aerospace, acquired by Baykar in 2025, will also be displayed.

Baykar’s European footprint is also expanding through its partnership with Leonardo. Reuters reported that Leonardo and Baykar announced a joint venture to produce UAVs, with the venture headquartered in Italy and aimed at addressing Europe’s gap in unmanned technologies.

The Baykar-Leonardo cooperation, along with Baykar’s acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace, shows that the company is positioning itself not only as a Turkish UAV exporter, but also as a long-term player in the European defense and aviation ecosystem.

Export Leader in the UAV Market

Baykar enters SAHA EXPO 2026 after another strong export year.

The company announced that it achieved $2.2 billion in exports in 2025, maintaining its position as the global leader in the UCAV export market. Baykar also stated that exports accounted for 88 percent of its 2025 revenue.

According to Baykar’s official figures, the company has signed export contracts with 36 countries for Bayraktar TB2 and 16 countries for Bayraktar AKINCI, reaching a total of 37 countries.

This export performance makes Baykar one of the most important drivers of Türkiye’s high-technology defense exports. The company has also financed its UAV projects with its own resources since the beginning of its unmanned systems journey, a point it frequently highlights as part of its independent development model.

Strategic Importance

Baykar’s SAHA EXPO 2026 lineup shows a clear shift from single-platform UAV development toward a broader unmanned warfare ecosystem.

With K2, MIZRAK and Sivrisinek, the company is entering deeper into the field of expendable autonomous strike systems, loitering munitions and AI-supported swarm operations. With KIZILELMA, AKINCI, TB3 and TB2, it continues to cover a wide operational spectrum from tactical ISR and strike missions to naval aviation and unmanned combat aircraft.

At the same time, Baykar’s work on gimbal systems, laser designators, mapping pods, data links and AI-enabled software shows that the company is building more of the critical subsystems around its platforms in-house.

For Turkish defense exports, this matters because international customers are increasingly looking for complete operational ecosystems rather than individual platforms. Baykar’s SAHA EXPO 2026 display is therefore not just a product showcase; it is a demonstration of Türkiye’s growing ability to offer integrated unmanned warfare solutions to global markets.
