Türkiye’s Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi has completed a major delivery wave over the past month, supported by new production lines and modernization efforts launched under its $1.5 billion strategic investment program.
The company continues to expand its production infrastructure in line with Türkiye’s goal of full independence in the defense industry. The investment program, covering the 2023-2027 period, is designed to increase national production capacity across ammunition, weapon systems, rocket technologies, aircraft bombs, energetic materials and CBRN protective equipment.
With newly activated production lines and modernization work at existing facilities, MKE has significantly increased its output and delivered a wide range of systems and ammunition to the Turkish Armed Forces and defense industry partners.
Deliveries to the Turkish Land Forces
Over the past month, MKE delivered various systems, ammunition and support equipment to the Turkish Land Forces Command.
These included the MKE ALPAY minefield breaching system, 107 mm artillery rockets, 60 mm mortar ammunition, 105 mm artillery propellant charges, 25 mm ammunition, 7.62 mm and 20 mm rounds, and smoke canisters.
The deliveries strengthen the Land Forces’ fire support, mobility, breaching and battlefield sustainment capabilities.
Aircraft Bomb Deliveries to the Turkish Air Force
MKE also delivered air-delivered munitions to the Turkish Air Force Command.
The delivered products included MK 84 and MK 82 aircraft bombs, which remain among the core free-fall munition families used by air forces for different mission profiles.
These deliveries support Türkiye’s air strike inventory and contribute to the continuity of national ammunition supply.
Naval Deliveries: DENİZHAN and Grenades
For the Turkish Naval Forces Command, MKE delivered MKE MOD48 hand grenades, DENİZHAN 76 mm national naval gun, and smoke canisters.
The DENİZHAN 76 mm naval gun is one of MKE’s most important naval weapon systems and represents Türkiye’s domestic capability in a field previously dependent on foreign suppliers.
Its continued delivery supports the nationalization of shipborne firepower across Turkish naval platforms.
Deliveries to Defense Industry Partners
MKE also completed deliveries to defense industry partners over the same period.
These included the ALTAY main battle tank gun system, equipment for the FIRTINA howitzer, components for the 155 mm PANTER howitzer, MK 82 aircraft bombs, medium-range missile fuel rods, NEFES CBRN gas masks, artillery fuzes and spare parts.
These deliveries show MKE’s role not only as a direct supplier to the Turkish Armed Forces, but also as a critical subsystem and ammunition provider for Türkiye’s broader defense industry ecosystem.
Strategic Importance
The latest delivery wave reflects the practical impact of MKE’s production capacity expansion.
Modern conflicts have shown that defense industrial strength is not measured only by advanced platforms, but also by the ability to produce and deliver ammunition, propellants, weapon systems and spare parts at scale.
MKE’s recent deliveries cover land, air and naval requirements at the same time. This highlights the company’s central role in Türkiye’s defense supply chain, from small-caliber ammunition to aircraft bombs, naval guns, artillery systems and armored platform subsystems.
As new production lines become operational under the $1.5 billion investment program, MKE is expected to further increase its contribution to Türkiye’s ammunition depth, firepower sustainability and strategic defense independence.
