ASELSAN has announced new export deliveries of several precision-guided munition solutions, strengthening Türkiye’s position in the global air-launched weapons market.
According to ASELSAN’s 2025 Annual Report, the company exported multiple guidance kits and smart munition systems during the year. These deliveries included the SADAK-4T smart quad rack, the TOLUN small-diameter guided munition, the LGK-82 Laser Guidance Kit, and KGK-82/83 Wing-Assisted Guidance Kit training munitions.
The first deliveries of TOLUN and SADAK-4T were made to several countries in 2025. TurDef reported that these export customers were located in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
ASELSAN also delivered the LGK-82 Laser Guidance Kit to an African country. In another milestone, KGK-82/83 training munitions were exported for the first time to undisclosed Middle Eastern countries.
In addition, ASELSAN successfully integrated the LGK-82 guidance kit into QFAB air-to-ground bombs for an international customer. The munition was also successfully launched from a Su-25 aircraft, showing the system’s adaptability to non-Western combat aircraft platforms.
TOLUN and SADAK-4T: More Precision Weapons per Sortie
One of the most important export items in ASELSAN’s 2025 guidance portfolio was TOLUN, a compact precision-guided munition carried with the SADAK-4T smart quad rack.
SADAK-4T allows a single aircraft or unmanned combat aerial vehicle to carry multiple TOLUN munitions at once. This increases the number of targets that can be engaged in a single sortie and improves operational efficiency.
According to TurDef, TOLUN can reach around 65 km range when released from UCAVs, while this figure can exceed 100 km when launched from fighter aircraft. The munition is available in different variants, including penetration and fragmentation warhead configurations.
This makes the TOLUN and SADAK-4T combination especially valuable for air forces seeking a compact, high-precision and cost-effective strike solution.
LGK-82: Turning Conventional Bombs into Smart Weapons
ASELSAN’s LGK-82 is a laser guidance kit designed to convert existing unguided bombs into precision-guided air-to-ground weapons.
According to ASELSAN’s official product information, LGK-82 can be used with 500 lb MK-82, 250 kg QFAB-250T and 250 kg QFAB-250LG bombs. The system uses a semi-active laser seeker and guidance section to direct the munition toward laser-designated targets.
This capability is particularly important for missions requiring high accuracy against moving or precisely defined targets. It also allows countries to modernize existing bomb inventories without procuring entirely new missile systems.
The successful integration of LGK-82 on QFAB bombs and its firing from a Su-25 platform is strategically important because it shows that ASELSAN’s guidance kits can be adapted to different aircraft and munition ecosystems.
KGK-82/83: Longer-Range Strike from Safe Distance
ASELSAN’s KGK family provides another layer of capability by converting free-fall bombs into wing-assisted long-range precision weapons.
KGK-82 and KGK-83 are designed for MK-82 and MK-83 class bombs. ASELSAN describes KGK-83 as a wing-assisted guidance kit that turns existing 1,000 lb MK-83 unguided bombs into long-range, high-precision air-to-ground smart weapons.
The export of KGK-82/83 training munitions to Middle Eastern countries is significant because it points not only to sales of operational systems, but also to the creation of training and operational infrastructure around Turkish precision-guided weapons.
HGK, KGK and LGK: ASELSAN’s Guidance Kit Portfolio
ASELSAN’s guidance kit family helps air forces increase the precision, range and operational flexibility of existing air-launched munitions.
HGK, or Precision Guidance Kit, converts general-purpose and penetrator bombs into GPS/INS-guided smart weapons. TÜBİTAK SAGE states that HGK can achieve a CEP below 6 meters with GPS/INS support in all-weather conditions.
KGK, or Wing-Assisted Guidance Kit, adds extended-range strike capability through its deployable wing structure. This allows aircraft to engage targets from safer stand-off distances without flying directly over heavily defended areas.
LGK, or Laser Guidance Kit, is optimized for laser-designated targets and precision strikes. It is particularly useful in missions where operators need to engage moving targets or strike a specific point with high accuracy.
Strategic Importance
ASELSAN’s 2025 guidance kit exports show that Türkiye is not only exporting platforms such as UAVs, aircraft and armored vehicles, but also the precision weapons and mission systems that increase their effectiveness.
The combination of TOLUN, SADAK-4T, LGK and KGK gives international users a flexible strike portfolio: compact guided munitions for UCAVs, laser-guided bombs for precision engagement, and wing-assisted kits for long-range stand-off missions.
These exports also strengthen ASELSAN’s position in the global market for air-launched smart munitions and precision guidance technologies.
