MKE is playing a central role in EFES-2026 with a wide range of domestically developed weapon systems, air defense solutions and ammunition.
As one of Türkiye’s most established defense industry companies, MKE is supporting the exercise with products developed for land, air and naval operations. The company’s systems are being used in different phases of EFES-2026, one of the Turkish Armed Forces’ largest combined and joint live-fire exercises.
Among the systems taking part in the exercise are the TOLGA Short-Range Air Defense System, BORAN Light Towed Howitzer, FIRTINA Howitzer weapon system, 35 mm Weapon System, aircraft bombs, infantry rifles, sniper rifles and ammunition in different calibers.
From Air Defense to Fire Support
MKE’s product family supports a broad operational spectrum, from close air defense and long-range fire support to tank weapon systems and air-delivered munitions.
The 35 mm Weapon System, one of the important firepower elements of Türkiye’s layered air defense architecture, stands out as part of the country’s growing Çelik Kubbe concept.
The TOLGA Short-Range Air Defense System also provides protection against drones and low-altitude aerial threats. According to MKE’s official data, TOLGA can use a mobile radar station, electro-optical system and jammer for detection and tracking up to 10,000 meters. The system can engage threats with its 35 mm weapon system up to 3,000 meters, 20 mm weapon system up to 1,000 meters and 12.7 mm weapon systems up to 300 meters.
Broad Ammunition Capability
MKE’s strength at EFES-2026 is not limited to weapon platforms. The company also provides a wide ammunition portfolio ranging from 5.56 mm infantry ammunition to 155 mm howitzer rounds, tank ammunition, rocket warheads, aircraft bombs and mortar ammunition.
This broad production capability allows MKE to support different operational needs across the battlefield. In this respect, the company remains one of the main domestic suppliers behind Türkiye’s firepower, ammunition depth and sustained combat capability.
