ASELSAN Completes First Export Delivery of KORKUT 150/35 Air Defense System

ASELSAN has completed the first overseas delivery of its KORKUT 150/35 air defense system, marking a new export milestone for Türkiye’s ground-based air defense capabilities.

The development was highlighted in ASELSAN’s 2025 Annual Report, which detailed the company’s key project milestones, technological achievements and delivery activities throughout the year. According to the report-based information, the first international delivery of the KORKUT 150/35 system was completed in 2025.

KORKUT 150/35 is a mobile air defense system developed to provide effective protection for mechanized units against low-altitude aerial threats. ASELSAN describes the system as an air defense solution designed for mobile elements operating with mechanized forces.

New Contracts for KORKUT 240/35 and 250/35

ASELSAN also announced that a new air defense contract was signed to meet domestic inventory requirements for the KORKUT 240/35 and KORKUT 250/35 systems.

This agreement represents a critical step in the serial production process of the KORKUT family. Although detailed technical information about the new 200-series variants has not yet been officially disclosed, TurDef reports that KORKUT 240/35 is understood to be linked to an 8×8 armored vehicle configuration, while KORKUT 250/35 is likely associated with a tracked armored vehicle configuration.

KORKUT 140/35 Proves Its 8×8 Mobility Concept

As part of ASELSAN’s strategy to diversify the mobility options of the KORKUT family, the KORKUT 140/35 configuration was developed on an 8×8 tactical wheeled vehicle.

The system successfully completed its first live-fire tests with high accuracy, proving its operational capability. This version expands the KORKUT family beyond tracked platforms and gives users a more flexible air defense option for different terrain, deployment and mobility requirements.

KORKUT 141/35 Integration Completed in the Middle East

ASELSAN also completed the integration of the KORKUT 141/35 system on a platform belonging to a company based in the Middle East.

Following the integration, the system was demonstrated at the end user’s own test range. This step is important because it shows that KORKUT is not limited to Turkish platforms and can be adapted to different vehicle architectures for international customers.

Domestic Deliveries Continue

On the domestic side, deliveries of the KORKUT 130/FCS and KORKUT 130/35 configurations to user units are continuing as planned.

ASELSAN’s KORKUT 130 FCS uses radars and optical sensors to detect aerial threats and provide effective fire control against very-low-altitude and low-altitude targets.

The sustained delivery process shows that KORKUT remains an active part of Türkiye’s layered air defense architecture, while its international demonstrations point to growing export potential.

Strategic Importance

The first export delivery of KORKUT 150/35 is significant for both ASELSAN and the Turkish defense industry.

Modern battlefields have increased demand for mobile, gun-based short-range air defense systems, especially against UAVs, helicopters, low-flying aircraft and cruise missile-type threats. In this environment, systems such as KORKUT offer a cost-effective air defense layer that can operate close to maneuver units.

With the first overseas delivery completed, new domestic contracts signed and multiple platform integrations progressing, ASELSAN is turning KORKUT into a broader family of mobile air defense solutions for both Türkiye and international customers.
