ASELSAN has signed two separate contracts with Indonesian authorities during SAHA EXPO 2026, covering unmanned surface vehicle payloads and mission-critical communication systems.
The agreements were signed at ASELSAN’s stand during the exhibition. The ceremony was attended by ASELSAN President and CEO Ahmet Akyol.
The contracts were signed by ASELSAN Deputy General Manager Özgür Taylan Sarı and PT Republic Director Ivandry Febriando Sitepo.
ASELSAN Systems to Serve Indonesia
Under the first agreement, ASELSAN will provide payload systems for unmanned surface vehicles to be used by the Indonesian Navy.
The second agreement covers mission-critical communication systems to be developed for the Indonesian Armed Forces.
With these contracts, ASELSAN will deliver nationally developed Turkish defense technologies to Indonesia, strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
Strategic Importance
The agreements are important for ASELSAN’s growing presence in Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific defense market.
Unmanned surface vehicle payloads are becoming increasingly important as navies invest in autonomous and remotely operated maritime systems. Mission-critical communication systems, meanwhile, are essential for secure command, control and coordination across modern military operations.
ASELSAN’s latest contracts with Indonesia show that Türkiye’s defense electronics, communication systems and unmanned naval technologies are gaining more visibility in international markets.
