Altınay Defense Technologies will showcase its mission-critical defense subsystems, motion control technologies, smart release systems, naval solutions and advanced energy systems at SAHA EXPO 2026 in Istanbul.
SAHA EXPO 2026, one of Türkiye’s major defense, aerospace and space industry exhibitions, will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center between May 5 and 9. Altınay Defense will take part in the exhibition at Hall 2B, Stand 16, together with its group companies TAAC and DASAL.
The company is preparing to present a broad portfolio of technologies developed for land, air, naval and unmanned platforms. These systems include motion control solutions, ammunition release technologies, smart motor drivers, helicopter securing systems, JP-5 naval fuel systems and advanced battery solutions.
Altınay Defense describes these technologies as strategic subsystems that reduce foreign dependency and support Türkiye’s defense industry independence. Many of the company’s solutions are designed not as standalone products, but as enabling technologies that increase the operational safety, endurance and strike capability of larger platforms.
Strategic Technologies for Air Platforms
One of the key aviation solutions Altınay will highlight at SAHA EXPO 2026 is its 4-Axis SOTM Antenna Pedestal.
The system is designed to maintain uninterrupted satellite communication for next-generation UAVs and UCAVs, supporting beyond-line-of-sight data transmission under demanding operational conditions. According to information shared by Anadolu Agency, the system provides BLOS data flow from equatorial regions to polar areas, helping secure the tactical communication network.
Altınay will also showcase its Smart Release Systems, developed to increase the strike capability of air platforms, including next-generation combat aircraft. With its pneumatic actuation architecture, the system is designed to provide safer, faster and smoother ammunition release operations.
KUŞKAPANI to Draw Attention in Naval Systems
In the naval domain, one of the company’s most important systems is KUŞKAPANI, known internationally as the Helicopter Capture and Transfer System.
The system enables helicopters to land safely on naval vessels under challenging sea conditions, reducing personnel risk during deck operations. Altınay’s own product page states that the system is designed for Sikorsky Sea Hawk SH-70 TN helicopters and can support safe landing, securing, transfer to the hangar and reverse transfer before takeoff.
STM also confirms that Türkiye’s first indigenous and national Helicopter Securing and Transfer System was developed jointly by STM and Altınay Defense, integrated into TCG İSTANBUL (F-515), and became operational in 2023.
Altınay will also present its naval-grade JP-5 Fuel Supply Systems, developed to support uninterrupted operations for Turkish naval platforms and help turn ships into more capable floating air bases.
XMotion Smart Motor Drivers and Tactical Energy Solutions
Another highlight of Altınay’s SAHA EXPO 2026 display will be the XMotion Smart Motor Driver Family.
Designed in compact form factors, the XMotion family brings high-precision control to moving components on defense platforms. The system addresses the growing need for compact, high-power and reliable electromechanical subsystems in modern military platforms.
Altınay’s Advanced Battery and Energy Storage Systems will also be part of the company’s exhibition portfolio. These systems are designed to support SWaP optimization, meaning size, weight and power efficiency, which is especially critical for UAVs, autonomous systems, torpedo batteries and airborne platforms.
With its national Battery Management System software, Altınay aims to provide reliable and uninterrupted energy solutions for next-generation defense platforms.
Altınay’s Role in Türkiye’s Defense Ecosystem
Altınay Defense Technologies General Manager Z. Burak Mercan stated that the company assumes a strategic responsibility in Türkiye’s doctrine of full independence in the defense industry.
According to Mercan, Altınay designs and produces critical subsystems with national resources, covering operational domains from the sky to the deep sea. He emphasized that the technologies to be displayed at SAHA EXPO 2026 are not only designed to meet domestic requirements, but also to strengthen the perception of Altınay as a Turkish technology brand in the global defense market.
With its broad portfolio of motion control systems, aviation subsystems, naval technologies and energy solutions, Altınay Defense aims to use SAHA EXPO 2026 as a global stage for Türkiye’s growing subsystem engineering capabilities.
