Samsun Yurt Savunma, also known as SYS Group, will showcase the CANiK M3 FALCON heavy machine gun for the first time at SAHA EXPO 2026, which will be held between May 5 and 9 in Istanbul.
SAHA EXPO 2026, one of Türkiye’s largest defense, aerospace, and space industry events, will open its doors in Istanbul this year. SYS Group, a global player in the Turkish defense industry, is preparing to launch new products at the exhibition while also deepening international cooperation through its “integrated defense ecosystem” vision.
The biggest surprise from SYS Group at SAHA EXPO 2026 will be the CANiK M3 FALCON. The next-generation 12.7×99 mm heavy machine gun, developed with a focus on the demanding operational requirements of aerial platforms, will be displayed for the first time at the event.
With its open-bolt operating mechanism, the system is designed to prevent overheating. It stands out with its high rate of fire, strong reliability, and flexible structure that can adapt to the changing conditions of the modern battlefield.
Cost-Effective Solution Against Drone Threats
The “Distributed Mobile Layered Air Defense Architecture,” developed by UNIROBOTICS and launched last month, will also remain one of the main highlights of SAHA EXPO 2026.
Designed against modern drone and counter-UAS threats, this smart architecture brings together TRAKON RCWS remote-controlled weapon systems, the CANiK heavy machine gun family, and the VENOM LR medium-caliber cannon system within a single integrated network.
The concept provides control across different range layers and is drawing attention from international delegations, particularly due to its low-cost and sustainable structure.
SYS Group to Showcase CANiK, AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS
SYS Group CEO Cahit Utku Aral stated that the group made a strong start to 2026 and launched new products in key markets, especially in the United States and Europe.
